" I just want more" her voice said and a sharp ache ran through my body. It was just a statement but do we ever just want more? I realise my statements may sound paranoid but Life's biggest problems have always arose from that insatiable need to find more. The ultimate point of discourse starts with Lucifer being unsatisfied with his role in heaven, his need for more setting the tone for a great controversy that still spills the earth today. But after him all the worlds battles have come down to a point where someone wants more. Its more land, more money, more respect, more power, more oil, more and more and with every little bit of the MORE, man has lost his identify, that veil of humanity that covers our hearts. For more land, man slaughtered his brother. For more money, a mother sells her child, for more power, a nation builds a carnage, afraid of the other nature because we recognise the worst in ourselves. Our trepid minds searches for reasons to vindicate this charade of greed. But no matter how sweet. Words cannot compensate the truth that we all left behind. With more civilization, man has sunk to the worst of his fears. Painting mosaics of what is left of his willful humanity. And a future that would have been great, is showered by the words of callous greed, filled with children who wield the guns, of a revolution they would never understand. Trapped in a world that only ever wants more not better. As quiet as my thoughts went, I knew all we had and will ever need is better love. So i turned with a smile and said to her uncertainty. We would never need more, all we need is better. Better understanding, better words, better roads, better policies, better behaviour. Better till man learns to understand that he never needed more to survive. All he needed was better.
