The Kaduna state government has issued an order declaring the
Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) an unlawful society. In an official statement
by Samuel Aruwan, the spokesman of Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, the Kaduna state
governor, has disclosed that the state government has issued an order declaring
the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) led by Ibrahim Zakzaky, an unlawful
society. The statement said the decision to outlaw the sect was arrived at
during an executive council meeting which was held on Thursday.
