Luckily, this tiny kitten in this photo narrowly escaped what could have been a terrible fate. Thanks to a nameless rescuer, he was saved from the torrential downpours and powerful winds of Hurricane Matthew and was brought to Banfield Pet Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina where he could receive proper treatment. Lucky for him, he was in good health, so he joined the ranks of adoptable cats and was found particularly charming by Twitter user crysomemore, who shared photos of the kitten on twitter.
The Twitter user @crysomemore noticed a father and two children looking at the adoption section when an employee brought out the kitten for them. Someone had brought the kitten to PetSmart’s Banfield Pet Hospital the previous day, when the torrential downpour of Hurricane Matthew was at its peak.
"The vet assistant brings her out and both he and his kids are OBVIOUSLY IN LOVE," the Twitter user wrote in her post.
After getting permission from mom, the family immediately adopted the kitten and bought the supplies needed for her.
Hurricane Matthew, the most powerful Atlantic storm since 2007, killed more than 500 people in Haiti and at least 28 in the U.S. More than 1,000 Americans are still stranded because of the storm.A tiny sock-wearing kitten melted hearts on Sunday amid the deadly damage of Hurricane Matthew.
